We use a number of highly effective adjusting techniques designed to improve spinal biomechanics and reduce neverous system interference. Dr. Dale's understanding and proficiency of the most popular chiropractic techniques allows him to customize a precise corrective method for each individual practice member.
Diversified Technique- is the classic chiropractic tecnhique developed by D.D. Palmer, DC in 1895. Today, it is the most widely used technique in the chiropractic profession. Diversified adjusting of the spine uses specific lines of drive with a manual thrust, allowing for specificity in correcting subluxations of the spine and reducing nervous system interferences.
Thompson Technique- developed by Dr. J. Clary Thompson. This technique uses an adjusting table with a segmented "drop" system. "Drop pieces" located on our table surface, support each area of your spine until a thrust is delivered. Then, the drop piece gently gives way, reducing the amount of energy needed to move a specific spinal segment. This approach is so unique that in 1955 Dr. Thompson was granted a patent for this system. The Thompson Technique is used throughout the world today.
Activate Method- is the most popular "low force" chiropractic technique in the world. This technique utilizes a hand-held spring-loaded instrument which delivers a precise repeatable high speed thrust. Before an adjustment is performed, leg length checks and isolation tests of joint motion are performed to identify joints to be adjusted and areas of nerve interference. After the adjustment is given these test are repeated to check the adjustments effectiveness.
Upper Cervical Specific- origanally known as the "Palmer Method" was developed by chiropractic's founder D.D. Palmer. DC and refinded by his son BJ Palmer. D.C. Upper Cervical Specific focuses on the relationship of the Occiput (skull), Atlas(C1) and Axis (C2). This is one of the most nerve-rich areas of your spine therefore, even subtle changes here can have ill effects on the whole body. This technique utilizes a light thrust given with high speed to set the upper bones of your spine. Following the adjustment the wisdom of your body uses this energy to right itself into its natural position.
Koren Specific Technique(KST)- involves an analysis of the body's structural system by challenging each part, skull, spine, discs, hips, ribs, sternum - literally anything that is out of position can be analyzed. Once the area of subluxation is located an adjustment is given using the Arthrostim adjusting instrument. The Arthrostim gives patients a very specific adjustment, meaning that only the segment that is out of position is adjusted; there is no twisting, turning or "cracking" of joints. This technique permits adjusting in different postures, which can be very important because sometimes a verterbral subluxation will only manifest itself in the standing or seated position. For example, a driver in a car accident (sitting) may not reveal their spinal damage or subluxations when standing; therefore they must be analyzed and corrected in the seated position. This is especially noticeable with people who suffer from chronic pain, neurological problems, TMJ and other serious conditions.
Instruament assisted soft tissue technique – may help decrease muscle trigger points which develop from faulty biomechanical movement of your joints. Also, utilized to break up scar tissue which developes after a major trauma or from accumulative micro traumas happening over a period of time. These instraments may also help with decreasing the accumulation of edema and ensure that proper healing occures.
Flexion and Distraction - is a technique used for various syndromes such as patients with acute low back dysfunction, sciatica, disc herniation and spinal stenosis. This technique utilizes a unique table which bends in the middle. Flexion and Distraction may even help patients which have experianced failed back surgery.
Rehabilitation - used to strengthen areas of the body which have healed with the purpose to avoid reoccurrence of dysfunction and increase overall health. Exercises are prescribed by the doctor at the facility, and the patient will perform exercises weekly or daily at their home or office. Rehabilitation may aid in providing possible lasting effects of the services provided at our facility.
Sport Taping - a technique used to aid in the rehabilitation of joints, myofascial dysfunction and postural control. Sport taping may help improve one’s awareness of their location in space (proprioception.) This type of taping is often seen in athletes; however, the tape may be beneficial to the everyday individual looking for help from their conditions. The tape may help with edema, tendinosis, tension headaches, structural imbalance and postural control.
Radiographic Examination - is an on-site examination service in which the patient’s structural integrity, joint anatomy and soft tissue evaluations are examined to aid in the patient’s care protocol. Furthermore, x-rays may rule out other pathological disorders which may be causing the patient’s discomfort.
Vitamin Supplementation - a service provided for patients who lack proper body nutrients in their daily diet. Vitamins are provided to help give patients an overall boost in their immune system to actively avoid sickness prior to becoming sick. Vitamin and essential oils may provide a natural alternative, to helping the body achieve their optimal overall health, to invasive drugs which have multiple side effects.
Whole Food Nutrition - a service which analyzes a patient’s dietary lifestyle along with their current symptoms, taking into consideration their medication and body composition; as a result, providing them with nutritional counseling, vitamins and exercise routines.
Holistic Education Classes - are free education opportunities offered to our community, patients and potential new patient’s on areas of holistic health that will aid in maximizing their personal health. These areas include essential oil therapy, proper dietary support, healthy exercise and common disorders to name a few.
Cervical Traction Rehabilitation - Our in office Cervical Traction is designed for our patients to help improve their cervical spine curve. Research shows that posture dictates a large portion of our health in optimalizing the nerve function. Today with the increase in technology, the average cervical curve has greatly decreased and are even going reversed. This will play a dramatic effect on the furture of our community as this will cause an increase in sickness and disease. Cervical Traction Curve Rehabilitation will help our patients keep their cervical curve avoiding sickness and disease.
Whole Body Vibration Therapy - Whole plate vibration therapy is designed to stimulate your nervous system, increase your stability and decrease healing time. Plate vibration therapy activates both your slow twitch and fast twitch muscle fibers givng you a full muscle contraction in a shorter period of time. Consequently, the whole plate vibration causes disc and joint hydration without the pounding affects of other physical exercise, ie: running. Some benefits of whole plate vibration include: improved flexibility and muscle strength, faster recovery, increased range of motion, improved core stability and optimized spinal health.
While our office strives to correct subluxations and increase a patient’s overall state of health, below is a list of conditions patients may have had while under our care. Also, patients may experience indirect benefits to these conditions as their nervous system and spinal movements begin to correct while their body heals from within.
